Persuasion Nation is a free resource site for entrepreneurs, bloggers and digital marketers. One of the questions I often get asked is, “Why do you offer so much free content?” and “How do you make money?”
So, I’ve written this page to explain how Persuasion Nation is funded, and what that means for you!
Why is Persuasion Nation Free?
As a solo entrepreneur or blogger just starting out, you probably don’t have a huge budget to spend on tools and training. However, you are going to need those things if you really want to succeed.
My goal for Persuasion Nation is to give solo entrepreneurs the step-by-step to build profitable blogs and online businesses, so they can quit their day jobs and enjoy life with their loved ones. Our in-depth blog posts, podcast episodes, mini courses, videos, and Facebook group are all completely free for you to use and learn from!
How Persuasion Nation Makes Money
If after consuming our free content you want to take your knowledge to the next level, we offer premium content that is even more comprehensive…
The primary way that we make money is through our premium courses.
I charge a fee for these courses for two reasons.
First, we need funding in order to “keep the lights on”. If Persuasion Nation didn’t make any money, I would have to shut the site down and there would be no free resources here for you to enjoy.
Second, it is human nature to value the things that we pay for. If I didn’t charge anything for my courses, the likelihood that you would actually consume and implement the material would go down dramatically. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “You get what you pay for”… well, I think what that really means is that “You value what you pay for”.
Persuasion Nation also makes a small amount of money when you purchase products that I recommend.
I only recommend products that I believe will be valuable to you. Before recommending any product, I always thoroughly test it and use it myself. Any time I review a product, the opinions I express are completely my own. I never accept payment for positive reviews.
One of the big factors that I take into consideration before recommending a product is whether it offers the best value for the price… I always want you to get the biggest bang for your buck!
The way this works is through referral or “affiliate” links. Sometimes, you will see a special link that looks like this:
Or like this:
These are affiliate links. When you click on one of these links, your browser gets tagged with a special cookie to track the referral. If you end up buying the product, then the company pays us a referral fee.
These fees vary for each product, but usually they are a small percentage of the total price.
Will this cost me more money?
You may be wondering whether clicking on these affiliate links will cost you more money. Absolutely NOT!
In many cases, you will actually save money by clicking through these links because I have a relationship with the company, and am able to give you a special deal on the product.
For example, if you purchase ConvertKit (email service provider) through my link, you will get your first month absolutely free. Or if you purchase Viraltag (a social media scheduling tool) through my affiliate link, you will get a $15 credit that you ordinarily wouldn’t get.
